COUNTIES
THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR
THE TENNESSEE RIVER AT FLORENCE.
* UNTIL SUNDAY MORNING.
* AT 7 AM FRIDAY THE STAGE WAS 21.5 FEET AND FLUCTUATING AROUND THIS
HEIGHT.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 18.0 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* RECENT ACTIVITY...THE MAXIMUM RIVER STAGE IN THE 24 HOURS ENDING AT
7 AM FRIDAY WAS 21.5 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO FALL TO BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY
LATE TOMORROW EVENING.
* IMPACT...AT 21.5 FEET...WATER COVERS THE PARKING LOTS OF THE MARINA
AT MCFARLAND PARK...WITH EXTENSIVE FLOODING OCCURRING AT THE SOCCER
FIELDS AND GOLF COURSE WITHIN THE PARK. WATER IS ALSO BEGINNING TO
COVER THE ROAD THAT GOES UNDERNEATH U.S. HIGHWAYS 43 AND 72 AT THE
NEW PLAYGROUND.
